Grants

Small Grants Scheme

Creative Hastings administers a small grants scheme as part of Creative New Zealand's Creative Communities Scheme. The grants are to support arts activities that benefit the community. The activities would normally be expected to take place within the Hastings District Council area or be activities that are held within other parts of Hawke's Bay and which involve a significant proportion of people from the Hastings District.
The next round closes on Thursday 10th November.

Application forms are available from the Hastings Community Arts Centre ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ). For eligibility requirements and scheme priorities click here.

Creative Communities Scheme

This scheme is administered by Hastings District Council, and is also part of Creative New Zealand's Creative Communities Scheme. It is for community based art activities or projects that benefit the community. It has the same eligibility requirements and priorities as the small grants scheme mentioned above but the grants can be for larger amounts, typically between $500 and $1500. Applications are assessed by a committee that meets twice a year, and the deadlines for applications are usually in March and September.
