Wet Weather Venue If wet, all concerts will be moved to the Hawke’s Bay Opera House, Hastings. Ring the Hastings I-site ph 873 5526 after 10am on the day to find out if we have moved the concert. The concert on March 7 will be held at the Opera House regardless of weather.
Restricted Mobility If you have restricted mobility and need us to arrange for vehicle access to a concert please contact Lyn at Creative Hastings 878 9447 between 9.30am and 4pm in the week prior to the concert.

Hastings Blossom Festival 2010 |

The Hastings Blossom Festival 2010 will run from Friday, September 10 to Sunday September 19. Ten exciting days of entertainment. The famous Hastings Blossom Parade is on Saturday, September 11. A whole day of family fun in the centre of Hastings.

Cilla McQueen and Friends
New Zealand Poet Laureate, Cilla McQueen, will be reading her poetry at the Assembly Room, Hawke's Bay Opera House, Hastings on Saturday, March 20 starting at 8pm. She will be joined by the first New Zealand Poet Laureate, Michele Leggott, Auckland poet, Bob Orr and Australian-based writer, Martin Edmond.
Cilla is a superb reader of her works. This is a rare opportuniy to see the Bluff-based writer reading in Hawke's Bay.
Te Mata Estate will be running a bar selling their very fine wine. Adults $20, Senior Citizen $18 and students $15. Creative Hastings members $18.

The Date for the 2011 festival is to be confirmed.
The 2009 festival has now finished. It was a delight, with very good crowds and wonderful writers. Our thanks to those who turned out to support the event.
Bookings for the 2011 festival will be through TicketDirect . We expect bookings to open early in 2011.
